How an Error Haunted Residents for Years

In early 2005, residents of Satan Wood Drive in Columbia, Maryland, finally got the name of their street name corrected. It was supposed to be named Satinwood Drive. Whoops. Typo. Along the way, one letter changed.

After a lot of hard work and frustration, residents petitioned Howard County officials to have it changed. They now live on the more poetic Satinwood Drive.

On the left, the Satan Wood Drive sign sits on top of a truck. A man is kneeling on a platform and placing the new Satinwood Drive sign on the pole. The signs are in blue with white letters.
