Americans, Meet the Electric Kettle! Avoid Kettlegate!

Like many Americans, I used to boil water in a kettle on the stove. Or worse, in the microwave (eww). Then, a co-worker introduced me to electric kettles.

A glass electric kettle on a kitchen counter. The electric kettle glows blue, indicating that it has been turned on. There is condensation visible on the inside of the kettle. The handle is made of black plastic, and the stand is also black. The counter is made of a speckled pattern.

My life was never the same. Neither was that workplace. Our tea area at work grew and grew. Co-workers came to our area and asked if they could borrow some tea.
